New Zealand, Clean and Green

In the 1980s, New Zealand declared herself to be nuclear free. The then Prime Minister David Lange had to make representations to President Reagan our stance.

Then there was the Chernobyl  accident. Many Europeans came to live in NZ. others came to buy and ship milk back.

Today, unfortunately, with the Fonterra and San Lu and Melamine, our reputation is tainted. Still, despite this, we are still very green. We have a Green Party in Parliament.
